Match the search results: Flexible radiator pipes are a great option for those who want to minimise the amount of pipe visible next to their radiator. Relocating radiators with flexible pipes only requires a couple of extra steps. First, drain the radiator as above. Once empty, you can disconnect the Flexi pipes from the radiator, cap them off using push-fit stop ends, then tuck them back into the wall. Consult a plumber to have flexible pipes installed in the new location of the radiator. ...

-
Match the search results: The reason for all this is I'm planning on building a home recording studio in the pictured space which will involve a high degree of acoustic isolation. To get maximum acoustic benefits, I wouldn't be able to finish the ceiling with the pipes where they currently are because either I'd have to make the valves accessible through the finished ceiling or I'd have to let the exposed pipes hang below the finished ceiling. In the event of a leak, it would be a very expensive fix to rip down the finished, acoustically sealed ceiling and rebuild it. Either way, the ceiling wouldn't be able to be totally acoustically sealed. The best solution I've come up with is to remove the radiator pipes from the acoustic equation altogether by moving them toward the exterior wall and out of the planned finished space, creating a small unfinished hallway that runs along the exterior wall. By putting the pipes in there, they would be out of my way, fully accessible in the future, and I'd have the added benefit of leaving the exterior foundation wall unfinished to spot any penetrating moisture in the future. ...

-
Match the search results: I’ve never seen radiator pipes end up in such wacky spots. Ours at least have the decency to dwell in corners, so I sort of love them – the exposed iron also acts as a mini rad, pumping more heat into the room, which we need. I’m very curious about how stable your rads are with just the pipe through the floor (and their own weight of course) keeping them in place. It’d be nice to know if the pex would work for us if we end up moving any around. ...
